AMZ001-240200- Synopsis for Caribbean Sea, and Tropical N Atlantic from 07N to 19N W of 55W 949 AM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024 .SYNOPSIS...A late season cold front passing over the Bahamas is reducing the N-S pressure gradient and forcing only moderate to locally fresh trades over the Caribbean through tonight. As high pressure builds in behind the front, the trades will strengthen to fresh to locally strong just north of Colombia, through the Windward Passage, and in the lee of Cuba Wed and Thu. Looking ahead, further building of the high on Fri and Sat will also force fresh to strong trades in the Gulf of Honduras and just south of Hispaniola. $$
