Winds: 30 east
Seas: 5-8 feet
Surf Temp: ?F
Viz: 0 feet
Unfortunately, even the weather people have to get one right every once in a while. This weekend was everything just as advertised. The winds were howling at about 25-30 mph from the east which made it for very rough going for those brave few that even attempted to get on the water this weekend. We ended up breaking out some frozen fish and lobster and cooking up a big meal for everyone. While the company was great, the fishing was non-existent.

We actually tried to head out on Saturday afternoon and ended up turning back after about a 1 mile trip. We hadn't even approached the reef yet and we were in 4-5 foot seas. The worst part was (yes, it can get worse) that it wasn't merely rough, but extremely sloppy. You could barely keep the boat on course because waves were just as likely to slap you broadside as they were to come right at you.

After a short jaunt, we decided that without any guarantee of clean water offshore, it was not going to be worth the punishment. Oh, well time to fix everything that's broken on the boat...
